HURRICANE IRENE EMERGENCY WEATHER POLICY

Due to the severe storm expected this weekend the following Inclement Weather Policy is in effect this weekend, August 27 and 28, 2011:

Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 8/27/11 at 5:30 p.m.

THERE WILL BE ONLY MASS ON SUNDAY, 8/28 AT 10 A.M.

No one is expected to endanger their lives or the lives of others traveling through the storm due to the anticipated high winds,fallen trees, downed wires and flooding.  Please pray at home.

Sunday Mass Inclement Weather Policy

All seniors are excused from the Sunday Mass obligation in the case of  inclement weather that would present a danger to their health and/or present a danger while traveling to the church.

For the parish at large:

In the case of a serious snow storm, four inches or more during the night, the obligation to attend Sunday mass is lifted. There will be one mass celebrated  on that day at 12:00 noon allowing the parking lot to be plowed and walks to be  shoveled.
